The AI Educator Brain is a free series from the American Federation of Teachers' Share My Lesson that helps K-12 educators figure out which AI tools are worth their time and which ones are not. Through monthly webinars, a podcast, and real classroom demos, we test AI tools in actual teaching situations and share what we find, honestly.
We are two educators and one robot: AFT's Share My Lesson director Kelly Booz, New York City public school teacher Sari Beth Rosenberg, and EdBrAIn, our AI teammate (yes, it named and designed itself). Together we dissect the pros and cons of AI in education, always coming back to the same question: should you or shouldn't you use the AI tool? Our mission is to determine how AI can support teaching and learning, and when it is better to stick with tried-and-true methods.
